PATRICK CROTTY's stuff. I work for Small Talk magazine, write video game reviews for Vice. I have a risograph printing press and I live in stockholm, Sweden.
After reading Le Miroir de Mowgli by O. Schrauwen, I’ve been going nuts on his jungle forests. I kinda copydrew one (the red and green thing there) but it felt super fun and relaxing and easy all at the same time so I’ve been putting forests into other work i’ve been doing, like these Dark Souls things, and this other story I did for swedish magazine Utopi.
here’s the original “sketch” So we projected this on to some plywood or whatever and I sketched it out. Since the bigger piece was just so much bigger, I was able to put in so many more details like two popular underwears from video games (metal slug and ghosts & goblins), rabbits, apes, slimes, some ship from twin bee and a companion cube and a bunch of other top sexy secrets. I need to figure out how to present the whole thing a lot better because it’s a kind of fun picture.
Massive Video Game Tryptich I made a couple weeks ago. It’s sitting at this nice video game store called Super Motaro, and I think there are like 50 + video game secrets in the painting. So it’s like where’s waldo.
After some lurking, I found out that they took this song off of OCR, probably because it isn’t enough of a remix, but I think it is one of the best songs on there. The song is called galagaa galagzee and (obviosly) is a mini remix of galagaa music. The artist, zee-roh (almost like the rapper!) is nowehere to be found on teh webz so who knows how to give him cred. Anyways, I feel like I’m contributing to the internet with an out of print mp3 file. great. sendspace’d HERE
oh okay and here is that other thing. Done. Oh btw why do I spend so much time doing bayonetta mash ups? It’s actually for a contest soooo. At least it is a fun contest! And I got better at doing stuff too!
